The AMS team is excited to report the following updates.

Title: Rates on the Rise

Date: Apr 24th, 2008

May 12, 2008 the USPS will increase all rate schedules by an average of 2.9% across the board. First class mail increases average 2.89% and Standard mail averages 2.84%. The USPS has a revenue of 66 billion dollars per year, with First Class mail producing 38 billion while Standard mail revenue is responsible for 28 billion in revenue. It is interesting to point out the USPS intends on increasing rates virtually every May and that rates will be based on the "Consumer Price Index." In short, you will see increases annually that are small compared to larger percentage increases every 3 years. As rates increase, now more than ever it makes sense to utilize a mailing company that specializes in presorting and discounting postage. AMS continues to invest in the leading software, equipment and knowledge to give clients this value.
